Nabisy Newsletter 16, shared on February 22nd
To all Nabisy users
Dear Sir / Madam,
Annex VI Part B of the Renewable Energy Directive (EU) 2018/2001 (RED II) specifies the greenhouse gas calculation method for the production and use of biomass fuels. For the co-digestion of different substrates in a biogas plant, the calculation of a total value is required.
In order to ensure that the upper limit specified in Article 25 in conjunction with Article 26 of RED II does not exceed the proportion of fuels produced from food and feed crops and that the minimum proportion of advanced biofuels is met in the future despite this requirement, it is still possible to subsequently allocate the actual GHG emissions and issue Nabisy certificates for each individual raw material. In the view of the BMUV, this procedure is necessary to ensure conformity with EU law. The European Commission has been informed of this view.
