We are pleased to inform you that as of January 3rd, 2024, the European Commission has officially validated the updated 2BSvs certification guidelines. These revisions encompass procedures, standards, and checklists, aligning them with the legal requirements from the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/996.
All pertinent documents for both the biofuel and the biogas supply chains are now available for your reference on our dedicated page. Additionally, we updated all pertinent checklists and the Greenhouse Gas emissions Calculator to reflect the new guidelines.
These documents are effective immediately – all audits, initial or renewal audits, must comply with the new 2BS documents.
Please note that existing 2BS certificates will remain valid until their renewal audit dates, preventing the need for immediate re-certification audits.
